Nawaz has spent his career at early-stage startups, working across engineering and customer success. Most recently, he was a founding engineer at Mito Labs (YC20), where he helped build AI agents used for code generation.

Nawaz also maintains several open-source projects, including llama-scan, a utility for transcribing PDFs with local language models, and cbxy, an open file format for digital comics.
